Pastors
Pastor Ross Henzi - Coordinating Pastor
 
Pastor Henzi was born and raised in the Detroit, Michigan area.  He is a graduate of Northwestern College and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.  He was originally assigned to Trinity to serve as its Youth and Outreach pastor in 1989.  He currently serves Trinity as the Coordinating Pastor.  He oversees the overall ministry of the congregation.

Pastor is married to Carolyn, who teaches in our elementary school.  Together, they have five grown daughters:  Erin, Carol, Kristin, Katie and Emma.

Pastor enjoys spending time with his family, his two dogs, watching sporting events, and working on his lawn.
Pastor Thomas Fricke - Spiritual Growth Pastor & Interim Principal

Pastor Fricke grew up in Watertown, Wisconsin and in Benton Harbor and Saginaw, Michigan. He received his training for the ministry at Northwestern College in Watertown and at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Pastor Fricke was ordained into the ministry in the summer of 1983. His first assignment was to teach religion at Nebraska Evangelical Lutheran High School in Waco, Nebraska. He has served congregations in Onalaska, Wisconsin, Le Sueur, Minnesota and Baraboo, Wisconsin. Since the fall of 2013 he has been Trinity’s Spiritual Growth Pastor.

Pastor Fricke and his wife, Jeanne, have four grown sons: Jonathan, Eric, Michael and Daniel.

The Fricke’s enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and paddling. Pastor Fricke enjoys teaching God’s Word and seeing people grow in their understanding of what the Bible means and how it applies to their lives.
Pastor Philip Janisch - Outreach Pastor
 
Pastor Janisch grew up in Plymouth Minnesota. He lived in Plymouth until he attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm Minnesota, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He is a new face here at Trinity. He graduated Seminary in May of 2017 and Trinity is his first assignment. Pastor Janisch serves as the outreach pastor. It is his job to engage the community and tell people about Jesus.

Pastor Janisch is married to Margaret who works at the three-year-old teacher’s aid at Trinity Lutheran School.

Pastor Janisch enjoys mountain biking, roasting coffee, weight lifting, and reading.

Mrs. Mikaela Evans

7th & 8th Grade Teacher
 
Mikaela was born and raised in Minnesota. She graduated from Luther Preparatory School in 2006 and Martin Luther College in 2010. Upon graduation from college, she was assigned to teach in Garden Grove, California. She spent two years in the lower grades and two years in the upper grades. In 2014 she accepted a call to teach science at Bethany Lutheran in Manitowoc. In 2018 she started her ministry at Trinity in the 7th and 8th grade classroom.

Mikaela is married to Matt, who teaches 5th and 6th grade and Spanish at Trinity Lutheran in Neenah.

Mikaela enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling the world. Her goal is to visit all seven continents. Only three more to go!
Mr. Daryl Johnson

5th & 6th Grade Teacher
 
Mr. Johnson was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. He is a 1995 graduate of Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan and a 2000 graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. His first call was to Lord of Lutheran Church & School in Friendswood, Texas from 2000 to 2004. He accepted a call to Trinity Lutheran Church and School in 2004 and has served here ever since.

He is married to Mrs. Amanda Johnson, who teaches in our preschool. They have been blessed with two boys: Nathan and Noah.

During his free time, Mr. Johnson enjoys watching and coaching sports, playing cards, playing with his kids, and singing in the choir.
Mr. Thomas Schwartz

Algebra Teacher
 
Mr. Schwartz grew up in New Ulm, Minnesota, and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Elementary School (LES) from Kindergarten to eighth grade. Not planning on ever being a pastor or teacher, he attended New Ulm High School and St. Cloud State College. He graduated with a teaching degree in both Mathematics and German and taught five years at South Winneshiek Community High School in Calmar, Iowa. During that time, he received his Wisconsin Synod (WELS) teaching certification from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm. He has since taught in our schools at Apostles LES in San Jose, CA; Evergreen Lutheran H.S. in Washington state, Huron Valley Lutheran H.S. in Michigan, Manitowoc Lutheran H.S. (last year) and did some substitute teaching also at St. John-St. James in Reedsville and here at Trinity.

His wife, Nancy, is also a former WELS teacher, originally from Brillion, so they decided to retire close to her family.
Mrs. Marcia Wendt

3rd & 4th Grade Teacher
 
Marcia grew up in Collins. She is a graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School and Dr. Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN. She also received her Master in Education degree from St. Scholastica and a Mentoring Certificate from Cardinal Stritch College.

Her first call was to Trinity, Marinette, WI . She taught there for a year and then was called to Brillion. She serves Trinity as grade 3&4 teacher, organist, handbell choir director, and Sunday School director. She serves the synod as a supervisor for student teachers and as a Lead Mentor for the WELS New Teacher Induction.

She is thankful to the Lord for giving her the ability to serve in His kingdom.  She has two adult sons and three granddaughters.

In her free time, she enjoys playing piano and organ, reading, baking, and gardening.
Mrs. Alissa Kiedrowski

2nd Grade Teacher
 
Alissa Kiedrowski was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Martin Luther College in 2008. She was originally assigned in 2008 to Beautiful Savior in Cincinnati, OH as a pre-school teacher, departmentalized upper grade teacher, and organist. In 2016, she started her ministry at Trinity. She currently serves Trinity as the 2nd grade teacher, organist, and Contemporary Worship Music Coordinator.

Alissa is married to Carl, who works at Country Visions in Whitelaw, WI. Together they are expecting a baby this February and also have a four year old son named Thomas.

Alissa enjoys playing the piano, doing crafts, camping, gardening, the Packers, and spending time with her family.

1st Grade Teacher
 
Carolyn was born in Milwaukee and grew up in the town of Brookfield. She graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School and Dr. Martin Luther College. Her first call was to teach the missionaries’ children in Japan for one year. She was then assigned to St. Paul’s First Lutheran in North Hollywood, California. She came to Trinity in 1989.

She has held a variety of teaching positions here at Trinity, serving in both the lower and upper grades. She currently serves Trinity as the 1st Grade Teacher and Athletic Director.

Carolyn is married to Pastor Henzi. Together they have been blessed with five daughters: Erin, Carol, Kristin, Katie and Emma.

Carolyn enjoys running, shopping with her daughters, playing with her two dogs, and spending time with family.
Mrs. Kelli Baas

Kindergarten Teacher and Early Childhood Director
 
Mrs. Baas was born and raised in the gateway to cranberry country - Tomah, Wisconsin!  There she attended St. Paul’s Lutheran grade school, followed by Tomah Senior High and then on to college at Martin Luther College and Wisconsin Lutheran College.

Mrs. Baas graduated from MLC in 2002 and was assigned to St. John’s Lutheran School in Dowagiac, Michigan.  While there, she served as the Preschool Director, worked hand-in-hand with the Childcare Director and taught 3K, 4K and Kindergarten.

In the winter of 2008, Mrs. Baas received (and accepted) a Divine Call from Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion, WI to serve as full-day Kindergarten Teacher and to plan, implement and oversee an early childhood program.  She currently serves Trinity as Kindergarten Teacher and Early Childhood Director.  Mrs. Baas, along with the Principal and Board of Lutheran Schools, oversees the early childhood program and the various components entailed.

Mrs. Baas is married to Jonathan, who works as a Graphic Artist and Freelance Branding and Marketing Entrepreneur.

Mrs. Baas enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling to visit family and reading a good book!
Mrs. Amanda Johnson

Lead 4K Teacher/Resource Coordinator
 
Mrs. Johnson was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia while her father was on active duty for the United States Navy.  Upon his retirement, the family moved back home to southeast Iowa where she was raised.  Mrs. Johnson is a graduate of Indian Hills Community College and the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. She completed her early childhood synod certification from Martin Luther College in 2012.  Mrs. Johnson was hired as the lead 4K teacher in 2006 and added the Resource Coordinator position to her list of duties in the fall of 2008.

Mrs. Johnson is married to Mr. Daryl Johnson who teaches 5th and 6th grade at Trinity.  The couple moved to the area in 2004 when Mr. Johnson accepted a call and began his ministry at Trinity.  They have two sons Nathan and Noah.

In her spare time Mrs. Johnson enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, being active, cooking, and shopping.  She also enjoys cheering on the Detroit Lions and Iowa Hawkeyes.
Mrs. Judy Casper

4K Aide and Aftercare Teacher
 
Judy was born and raised in Manitowoc. She attended Immanuel Lutheran grades 1 thru 8. She graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School. She has lived in Hilbert since 1988. She is married to John Casper.

Judy has one son, Lucas and daughter-in-law, Lindsey. She has five grandchildren: Alexis, Elizabeth, Livia, L. David, and Luke.

In her free-time, Judy enjoys gardening and spending time with family.
Mrs. Abbey Gipp

3K Lead Teacher
 
Abbey was born and raised in Brillion. She attended Trinity as a child, Kindergarten through 8th grade. She attended Fox Valley Technical College. She was originally hired to be the 3K/4K aid in 2009. In 2010, Trinity started an independent 3K program where she became the lead teacher. She currently the 3K lead teacher.

Abbey is married to Andy, who works at Endries International. Together, they have two children: Elleson and Halleigh.

Abbey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, her dog Bailey, attending Packer games, watching college and NFL football.

3K Teacher's Aide
 
MacCartney grew up in Green Bay. She is a graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran and Martin Luther College. She taught fifth and sixth grades and was an athletic director for three years.

MacCartney is married to Paul, who works as the school counselor at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.

In her spare one, she enjoys thrifting and antiquing with her husband.
Mrs. Jani Wagner

Librarian
 
Jani Wagner was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and was raised on a Brown Bounty farm between Wayside and Morrison. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside, and was confirmed there in 1960. She graduated from Reedsville High School and the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. She has been a library media specialist her whole career.

Jani is married to Ken Wagner who retired from the Brillion Iron Works. They have been members of Trinity since January 1982. Their two grown sons, Jon and Kristopher, live out of the area.

She is an avid golfer and has always loved reading. She and Ken also enjoy ballroom dancing and playing golf together.
Mr. Jerry Behnke

Custodian
 
Jerry Behnke was born and raised on a farm in the Collins area. He attended school at St. John-St. James in Reedsville. He also attended Trinity Lutheran here in Brillion. He graduated from Brillion High School.

Jerry worked at a cheese plant in Hilbert for 26 years. When the plant re-located to Kentucky, he then became a full-time custodian here at Trinity. He has been here at Trinity for 22 years.

Jerry is married to Judy, who works at the Ariens Company. Together they have three grown sons: Jason, Josh, and Jesse, whom are all married. They have 8 grandchildren – and are proud of every one.

Jerry enjoys spending time with his family and going to all his grandchildren’s sporting events. He also enjoys going to and watching stock car racing. He also enjoys camping with family and friends.
Mrs. Cheryl Brazil

Office Manager

 
Cheryl Brazil was raised in Brillion and attended Trinity as a child, kindergarten through eighth grade. She completed her formal education at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in communication and public relations and in 2008 with a master’s degree in Sport Administration. During her time at La Crosse, she held a graduate assistantship as the Undergraduate Research Coordinator and assistant to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.

Prior to Trinity, Cheryl was the Assistant Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, for eight years.

Cheryl is married to Joseph, who works at Endries International. Together, they have been blessed with a daughter, Addison. Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, watching sporting events, and outdoor activities.
Mrs. Darlene Reinke

Church Secretary
 
Darlene grew up on a farm near Potter. She attended the country school in Potter except for 1 year when she was bed ridden with rheumatic fever. Her parents moved to Brillion and she started Trinity Lutheran School when she was in 7th grade. She attended Brillion High School.

After graduation, Darlene worked in the audit department at the Brillion Iron Works. She was married to Robert “Bob” Reinke for 39 years. Together they owned and operated the Amoco Station in Brillion for many years. Her next adventure came when she and Bob, along with their son Lee, owned Deer Run Golf course for 17 years. Bob was called home to heaven in 2001 after a long battle with cancer.

Darlene has one son and daughter-in-law: Lee & Beth.  She also has three grandchildren: Ryan, Seth and Megan.

She started as secretary at Trinity on October 1, 1990.

In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing bridge, and spending time with my family.
Mrs. Barbara Brandenburg

School Secretary
 
Barbara Brandenburg was born in Green Bay, WI and has been living in the Brillion area most of her life. She is a graduate of Brillion High School. Barb was hired as the school secretary on October 1, 1990. Prior to 1990 she worked at the Ariens Company for 11 years. She currently serves as 1st receptionist and school secretary which consists of many other duties. Barbara also volunteers in the Sound Booth at Trinity.

Barbara is married to Bobby Brandenburg who is employed at the Ariens Company. Together, they have two grown sons, Scott & Shawn.

Barb enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her son’s pets, Oreo, Monkey & Puma, she enjoys organizing in her home, shopping, and spending any leisure time on her iPad.

Lunch Program Coordinator

 
Brande was born and raised in the Stevens Point/Plover area. She went on to graduate from Mid-State Technical College with 2 degrees in the Business Department. This year marks her third year working in the school food service department where she previously worked in the Hilbert School District as a Lead Line Cook. She is certified as a Food Safety Manager.

Brande is married to Chris, who works for VanErt Electric out of Kaukauna as an Electrical Estimator. Together they have 4 children; Lauren, Trenton, Jace and Madeline.

Brande enjoys spending time with her family and friends along with scrapbooking and many other crafts.
